Hi there,

I'm currently in Tokyo having benefited from the ultra-cheap Qatar fare (£537); that is where the good news ends as I've spend the majority of my time here in my room suffering from a bad cold. I'm heading back tonight, and on one of my few trips out I purchased a Tamiya radio control car kit; this is within the size of cabin luggage but I'm unsure whether or not I can take in onboard (I will be transferring from QR to BA) as I would rather it doesn't go in the hold. I can't think of anything dangerous in the kit (it's really just a collection of plastic and some metal parts), but I don't want to get stuck at security either.

I would be grateful for some advice from seasoned flyers.
