If you're only there 1 night, I'm not sure what the big fuss is about. But to each, their own.
If there really are upgradeable rooms showing as available on spg.com for the duration of your stay, then please show those to the staff and complain at the hotel...or don't complain to us afterward. If you do complain and get nowhere, go ahead and take a screenshot to show us and SPG afterward.
If you're Plat and you are active here and then stay anyway at the Sheraton Tribeca, you da fool again.
The problem is that the hotel doesn't follow the T&Cs of the program. They're
required to upgrade and don't.
I have stayed at this Sheraton multiple times and have never been upgraded. Whatever though, it's a dump anyways, I just book it for the location.
