I typically transfer my points to airline but this morning I saw LAX to IAH for 15k points via United which was 30k points on United website. I thought that was pretty good considering how last min it is. I had to take a call and when i refreshed the points went up to 26k.

Is there a chance the price of points will go down randomly again? If so when should I check?
