Just returned from a PHX-SFO-NRT-TPE trip and just a heads up:
If you are connecting in NRT, you DO have to pass through security again. Inboard was no problem, but outbound was a nightmare - despite a 90 min connection, I barely made my flight due to long lines. Please beware.
I've never seen this practice elsewhere and am confused by it since you've already been cleared on the inbound flight. Anyone has similar experiences?
