Still confused, but happy

Won't we all be upgraded anyway (or the first few requests until they run out of the better rooms) to the upgraded double?
Dovster said that the last time he was there, he booked a double room because he would have paid a hefty fee to add a person. So I called the hotel and they said 'no problem if you add another person (to your single room)'.

I said 'so does that mean there's no extra charge?' He said there's a charge of 40 euros per nite for the extra person. (I guess that's Dovster's definition of "hefty.") That would be $50 per night. So apparently the "single" or "double" refers to the # of guests in the room. Although my original confirmation email said "Adults: 1", under property policies, it said "base rate is for 2 guests."

So I called expedia prepared to pay the $26 for the change fee. But she said they would change my reservation to say 2 adults, for no extra charge. And she promised to send me a confirmation email.

She sent me a new email which now says "Adults: 2." I should be all set now.

TxLobo said he's still waiting for confirmation from DL for the discount. We hope to be able to post it today or tomorrow.
