I'll be flying Lufthansa to FRA out of BEY before continuing on to the US. What electronics are they allowing (or not allowing) in the cabin? I normally never check a bag, should I wait until the gate to sort out what can fly? Or, should I plan ahead and check the bag at the ticket counter?

I've got a long layover at FRA. If I have to give up my laptop and iPad, my plan is to check my bag just to FRA to retrieve my bag and carry on as normal - make sense? Thanks in advance!
