Good to know. Would've splashed out more had I known at the time!

I wasn't staying in EDI, but travelling onto DOH/KUL on QR (for a bargain £1k in J), hence need for shorts. I'm not habitually a Next shopper, but the EDI departure lounge gives a choice of that, Fat Face and Hugo Boss (neither had summer clothing, but I guess I could've treated myself to some Boss underwear) or JD Sports (mmmm, chavtastic!)

Anyway, a lesson for us all on ex-EUs... If you have to check luggage, at least positioning on BA means any lost bags will *eventually* get redirected to your destination - can't imagine Ryanair or Easyjet sending my 30kg suitcase onto KUL...
