Not sure why the /s is there, it's not really sarcasm as much as it is ignorance. The iPhone isn't manufactured in China, it's assembled there. You'd have to go through the BOM and find the parts that are actually made in China.
And as far as that is concerned, didn't one of the factories in China that actually manufactures parts for the iPhone have to install netting because their workers kept trying to kill themselves by jumping off the building?
Not to mention the supply chain planning investment that has to be made to prevent counterfeit parts from making their way into your product.
I have never owned a product made in China that was actually good. Ever. And I don't say that lightly.
But don't feel too bad... Korean manufacturing is usually worse.
