If there's an amenity thread itself, I apologize for posting here in error. Wanted to report that the other day I stayed at the Westin in Bellevue, Washington where I had used mobile check in which defaults to the points.
The guy at the concierge desk handled the check in itself. When I said that I wanted a breakfast coupon instead of the points he asked whether I had been given an option on the mobile check in; I replied that I had not, but a message appeared that I could change my selection upon arrival. He mumbled something about that needing to be tweaked, and hastily wrote me out a breakfast certificate. The stay pointed with the 500 points in addition to the restaurant accepting the certificate, so I got both. I doubt that a regular check in clerk would have failed to switch my option in the system, as he obviously did.
