Some people have suggested that if you always keep at least one card with Barclays, you have better chance of getting their cards. If you completely severe the relationship, the next go round would be much harder. So keep that in mind on what you would like to do next.
I've gotten several cards from Barclays after having cancelled all my previous cards from them. Always get automatic approval without having to call. I do however put some regular spend on each of their cards when I have them open.
