I know most readers come to read reports so they can escape the stress of life for a few precious moments (atleast I do). Unfortunately, my excitement for the upcoming trip has taken a complete downturn in the last 18 hours.

The dry cleaner lost my suit pants. When I picked my suit up last week I never bothered to check if the pants were in there. I've been going there for years without any issues. My favorite suit no less. Weirdly enough, I had a gut feeling to buy a new suit 10 days ago so at least I have that but for such an important trade show this really stinks. Looking good & feeling good is half the battle. Lesson to be learnt: always check the drycleaning before leaving the store. The cleaners have been looking for it but no luck yet. Will have to sort this out when I get back.

However, there's more to life than just pants. Pants can be replaced.

My wife and I haven't been blessed yet with kids. However, we do have a beautiful cat. We adopted her when she was between 2-3 years old and she's been part of our family for 7 years. Right now she's at the vet's ICU as she hasn't been eating for the past 2 days. They'll be keeping her for atleast 72 hours. Emotionally I have no desire to leave my wife alone to face this. We're both shaken up. Trying to stay positive and hope the vets know what they're doing.

Typically when I fly for business overseas I choose aircraft equipped with wifi. Helps me whatsapp the missus so even though I'm not there, we can still communicate. Turkish has wifi on their 777. Not so on their A330 that I"m taking from ATL-IST.

Tonight will be a tough flight. If this was for vacation I'd have cancelled the trip without a moment's hesitation. When I catch my lyft ride to the airport I'm going to be torn on the inside.

I will try my best to keep this report going. Hopefully the lil one pulls through and this TR can be positive and informative as I had initially hoped.

Thank you for reading
