Had a great two night stay at the Metropole in August, with the entry level booking being upgraded to a room on the third floor of the Historical Wing.
The Historical Wing felt like you were stepping back in time with beautifully preserved woodwork and everything on a smaller scale.
The mangoes provided as a welcome amenity were excellent with a more delicate flavour than Australian mangoes.
Welcome drinks were available in any of the hotel bars so we had them at Le Club as it was air conditioned and in the middle of summer. A nice selection of cocktails and mocktails were on offer.
Being the middle of summer the small pool was packed every afternoon so laps weren't really an option. However, having one's safari suit laundered certainly is!
Is that really that really the laundry cost? Or is that say 115k VND, as that's cheap. Booked to stay here in the near future, but hard to sway away from SPG or Marriott, but in this case, I think I've made the right decision.
