I signed up back when it was 1 cat 1-5 cert on first purchase and another on anniversary date.

I cancelled the day before anniversary. Was not charged AF but was provided second cat 1-5 cert. Redeemed both on the same stay!

Might be helpful to anyone close to anniversary and thinking about cancelling: wait until your anniversary cert posts to Marriott before cancelling. Mine was day before anniversary.
