BA domestic connection at Heathrow

Hi everyone,

I'm needing to fly from Salzburg to Manchester (UK), and would like to do it with BA. The only issue is that I really need to be back in Manchester by 7pm.

The flight from Salzburg arrives at Heathrow at 16:10. There is a flight to Manchester departing Heathrow at 17:25, leaving me 75 minutes to make the connection. Both flights use terminal 5. British Airways website won't let me book this, as they say I need a minimum of 120 minutes for a connection. However, Heathrow's own website says you need a minimum of 60 minutes to connect within the same terminal. Whilst I can't book this direct with BA, I can book this itinerary through several online travel agencies.

Do you think this itinerary is possible? If I were to miss the connection, would BA just put me on the next flight, as the ticket would be all on the same booking, rather than 2 separate bookings.

I'm not intending to have any checked baggage, although the ticket price does include it. If I did check a bag, what are the odds that both it and me would make the connection?

Sorry for all the questions, it's a long time since I've used Heathrow!

As a side, I've just looked to see if I could book this itinerary with avios, and I am able to book it direct with BA that way!
