I was just catching up with the last UA 747 flight thread. Despite many who don't seem fond of the airline, or some of the former or present leadership, there is so much passion...from the employees, pax and the FTers and avgeeks who celebrated on the flight from ICN and today from SFO.

While I certainly understand an airline CEO wanting to focus on profits and safety, what really seems to be missing with Doug and parts of AA is the passion that some have shown in the other forum.

Sure, there are likely a similar group in the AA universe.

It would be nice if the leadership weren't so dismissive or disdainful of people who buy a ticket on AA and maybe just want to go to HKG for lunch.
