Fully agree. I've done both and certainly on TK you get a much better seat and full AVOD, you even get a ridiculous fancy-dress 'chef' to plop your meal out of its foil dish and onto a serving plate by your seat. However for the sake of a couple of hundred pounds fare difference, for a four hour flight I can live without these things.
Back on topic though, BA should probably decide whether or not to do IFE on these flights at all. In my view they shouldn't bother - trying to watch a movie on those little screens on the A320 is hopeless and I personally prefer just to glance at the moving map from time to time.
