BTW - Working people eat breakfast around 7AM, Lunch at noon-1PM, Dinner at 6. That's about 5-6 hours between meals.
The only time 2 meals would be needed is if the fight took off before noon. Then, maybe lunch and late dinner. Then 8 hours sleep.
I take lots of 6 hour redeyes west to east. Don't need meals because it's after dinner and before breakfast.
5-6 hours time is the time you spend pn a trip to New York, not counting making your way to the airport and time spent at the airport. The thing is, BA is the worst of all the legacies now. Flown with KL this time to JNB as I am fed up with BA and I got some great food (twice), great portions, a snack with my pre-lunch drink, a mid flight snack, free snacks at the galley and even hot towels for all Y customers. Sorry, these little things matter and I am honestly pissed with BA's lack of service in Y. Happy They pushed me to discover other airlines.
