checking in bags part way through trip
I know this has been asked previously and I did try and search but searches of 'luggage' and 'check -in' just give me the results 'too many threads' and Mr Google wasn't being helpful either.
Plan is to do
LHR-INV then INV-LHR-JFK on the same day. Ive found a good F price to NYC doing it that way and INV is a good B2B airport according to the 'turnround' wiki.
I would obviously prefer to check in my bags for the LHR-JFK leg before I do the LHR-INV leg (and no time to collect bags etc in INV anyway as it's a quick B2B) rather than put them in to left luggage and check them in after I've landed back at LHR.
I have left 4 hours between the arrival from INV and the JFK departure. I'm sure I can manage the CCR for that length of time!
So what is the consensus on BA allowing me to check the bags in that early or will it really come down to whoever I approach at the F desk at LHR on the day?
(any one help with some previous 'first first' threads - I'm getting the same search results i.etoo many results. No idea how Jerry Alaska does it!)
