I have not been to Oberoi but I think both O&O and Four Seasons are great choices for Dubai.
While the food is mediocre, and crowds can make it a little disturbing, I still find Medinat Jumeirah to be a lot of fun. The key is to stay in Dar al Masyaf, and avoid Al Qasr.
