Best way to transport an iMac 21.5"
Hi all,
I will be flying soon from LHR to BSL and I need to bring a 21.5” iMac back with me.
I travel in ET currently booked exit rows and I can check luggage as well.
Just trying to find out the best way to transport it. It will be out of the box and is “just” within the limits of BA hand luggage allowance (just 1 cm taller but length and depth are fine).
I can put it in a hard shell suitcase and check it in, but that sounds risky. I plan therefore to pack it nicely in bubble wrap and in a small blanket and carry it with me on the plane.
Any suggestion on how I should approach that?
Can security be tricky (I plan to use the First Wing if that’s’ of any help)?
Can BA refuse to let me board with it and check it in?
And finally, any good place on the plane to store it (A319). I realise that sitting on Exit row may not be the smartest choice due to the space in the overhead lockers.
Thanks.
