red herring ... given that those shuttle buses run every 8-10 min, and you're actually getting on one stop LATER, it's probably the same bus anyway; for departures, if you have to check a bag, you'll be getting off the shuttle bus at the same stop for the ticket counter, and I think the walk up to the D entry is shorter than the walk to C (plus iirc C doesn't have full TSA Pre-Check)

It feels longer because C2 was so much closer and you are correcct, it is a later stop.

Yep, on the IAD flight on Thursday night. Justin, the summer intern sure did eff up the schedule and no sign of it changing until the spring if we're lucky. A few emails and such have been sent up the line, but crickets - no one quite understands the reasoning behind leaving that plane in IAD for the evening.
