So some clarification if a visa is required or not would be greatly appreciated: DMK(BKK)-CAN-CTU-LAX I've only had a couple flights between 2 different airports in china, and the 2 times they just stamped me for 24hrs. So since I'm not the one flying I just want to make sure. I'm more of a oh well type of person, the flier is not lol. She'll be using a US passport as well. Flights arrive and depart on the same day as well.

This itinerary will
not be eligible for TWOV. As per the wiki at the top of this page, multi-stop TWOV within China is
only permitted at CAN where the first transit point is PEK.
As the journey involves a stop in CTU, boarding will be denied in Bangkok.
Your friend will need to change their travel plans to either remove any additional stops in China, or avoid China outright.
