I can't agree with this enough. If you are looking for true peace and quiet, Aman would be great. That said, it was creepy enough eating in an empty restaurant at Amanoi and Amantaka with my fiancee - I can't imagine doing it alone. At Amanoi the bar was truly empty every single night for the 4 nights we were there - we were the only customers between 8pm and 11pm. That was great for us, as we played board games, chatted, had a personal bartender, etc., but would be a different vibe if you are solo.
It's one thing to want peace and quiet, it's another thing to not see a single guest in an entire day.
To be honest, as a family man with a 24/7 career who occasionally looks to travel alone for peace and quiet and to reset, I think what you just described above sounds meditative, wonderful and perfect. I'd sacrifice a lot of time and money to get to a place that afforded me wall-to-wall peaceful contemplative silence. It's like existing in a work of art.
