That's contradictory (and not my personal experience). We booked 3 seats (C+) for 2 people to PVG a couple years ago - both HoyaHubby and HoyaHubbyXTRAseat BPs were scanned when we boarded. That's how they know the seat is taken....

It seems like there are 3 people who want 4 seats. Why can't husband get 2 seats in economy, son 1 seat in economy, and wife a seat in business?
