I greatly appreciate the photos and reports of garbage on the beach. Thank you for sharing.

When we were there in October for over a week everything was lovely. No garbage in the water except for one day after a bad rain storm. Water was pretty clear. Workers came and raked the beach every morning and did a great job cleaning up (unlike some other beaches that are still laced with garbage and glass from jerks who broke glasses and bottles when drinking at night despite workers attempts to clean).

The water was clear and lovely for us to swim in. We are going back for two weeks in the spring and will report back if need be on the water/beach. But it nice to have this report so we know what could happen/ expect. One of the reasons we liked this resort is that it had both a great swimmable beach and and a great pool (too many resorts have one or the other).

If the garbage is a regular occurrence at any resort, I would not want to go there. Reports like this are very helpful. If we don't get these reports, how would we know whether to go to a property in the first place?

People should complain and mention if the garbage is so bad at a beach resort that one cannot sit at the beach/ swim in the water. If they cannot, what is the point of Flyertalk. I don't get why some people seem to always yell or try to shame others for what is very helpful pots -- when typically the folks who try to shame offer very little helpful info
