I notice the question "Have you ever been found in violation of customs or immigration laws or other federal import laws?" is defined as including refusal into US.
Where does it say that refusal into the US is a violation of customs or immigration laws? I was refused entry into the US twice (both before 2001) and answered "no" to that question when applying and renewing. No problems.
