Cancelling Avios Reward Tickets Less Than 24 hours prior to Departure
I was hoping to clarify BAs cancel policy.

Can you still get a points refund if you cancel say 12 hours prior to departure, but on the previous calendar day (so cancel at 8pm on December 1st, and your flight is at 8am on December 2nd)? Or would you have to cancel by 8am on December 1st? It's not clear to me if it's a calendar day rule or a full 24 hours rule.

If it is the latter, is there any way around this rule (like change the booking and pay the fee, and then come back later to cancel it and pay the fee again? I know this is what is done for Aeroplan tickets when canceled within their 21 day policy, to get points redeposited).
