Again, that is simply incorrect at least ex-LHR. I have been doing the JFK route in BA J for years, including the whole Do&Co period on both CWLCY and LHR and permutation of the dishes have been coming back in permutation. Never before I have seen those beef cheeks wrapped in aubergine which, on the other hand is very similar to dishes I had on both TK and OS.
You will also notice that the structure of main choices has changed as well. It used to be one beef-based, one poultry-based, one pasta based and a main course salad. Now it is one beef-based, one fish-based, and one pasta-based. The pasta dishes are also entirely different and much better, and the fish in my experience seems to have become the most popular choice in the cabin.
Ex-JFK the choices were of course limited by the supper service, now you get new by nature as it is a full service dinner (which some people do not like by the way, but that is the new change).
The presentation of the mains is still less than great because they are still heated pre-plated. My sense is that BA could have gone one step further and do trolley service for the mains too a la AZ. That means having the portions of the various proteins and the various sides heated in serving dishes then served on plates at the seat in any combination (e.g. would you like the aubergine-beef cheek, the salmon, or the pasta? what vegetables would you like? Would you like some sauce?).
However the meal contents is entirely new and the taste of the mains is indeed much better. And even still leaving to be desired the presentation has improved a lot in a way that is most visible with the less saucy dishes. Again, this month's aubergine-wrapped beef cheek is an excellent example of that and is prettier than what BA has served in both J and F for years.

Sure, but by all means, please continue ensuring that the voice of people like you who have never experienced the new service is considered as credible on that as the perceptions of those of us who have already used the new service 3 or 4 times in its first 4-5 weeks and have thus tasted for ourselves a majority of the dishes. After all, if it was "beef" and is still "beef", then it must be the same?
