I thought life vests were under the center console in narrowbody F? I stretch my feet quite a bit, and sometimes end up resting on the crossbar where the seat is connected to the rail (near the front end of the next row's seat) - never noticed anything hanging down in my way except the stupid DTV boxes on equipped aircraft.
