Change fees are now on a per segment basis?
I have a last minute trip and booked AC (only airline that flies the route), and needed to make a change of dates to the itinerary. AC said the change fee is now per segment, not per ticket - so I am paying it twice.

Is this new? When did this start? It is a sameday return.

FYI this is not a cheap fare, over $1000, but not full-fare.
