The actual new service (now tried several times) is a step up on food but appalling slow in delivery. If you like a 3-4 hour meal it's the tops. The fact it gets better rated than what was before tells you how bad it was before.
The new offer still is behind AA United delta and virgin- so yes it's better than before but it's just catching up with competitors in the real world in content and behind them on delivering the content in speed.
Well from you, that is indeed a compliment. You know, life is far too short to be this grumpy all the time. In that real world you mention the consensus is that what is being offered is a huge improvement, that comes from regular travellers on the route and indeed cabin crew. The only dissenting voices are coming from, well, let's say many of us are not surprised where they are coming from.
At least you agree with my statement in the post you quoted ^
