Precisely - there is no way you can tell from the figures whether this £600m represents incremental spend or includes spend which would have to be made anyway as the new planes need seats. In fact there is very little independent analysis of the figures to verify that what BA are spending and how this is broken down. For all we know BA could be including all sorts of BAU spending in the £600M.
