Every retail store has always asked me to pay in dollars or zloty. And I've never got hit with an extra fees with my Schwab debit and the exchange rates seem pretty damn spot on.
I've been using android pay in poland and lately a few times I was asked about pln or usd payment on the terminal. Given that there's no signature, it's a bit harder (I'm guessing) to dispute it.
