Liz, thanks for taking the time to write this up. As a left coaster, I know virtually nothing about the east coast south of DC. I've always been intrigued by the sounds of the Outer Banks - it's lovely to learn something about it. The Sanderling sounds marvelous - as a junkie for oceanfront hotels, I'm drooling.
