Seeing the high annual fee I don't think a lot of people will be applying for the card but I wouldn't be surprised to see free breakfast go away for gold's in the next couple years and/or exec level rooms being excluded for upgrades from gold's to keep in line with Hyatt's mid tier. I also wouldn't be surprised if Hilton adds a level above diamond with a lot more perks or has something like a Diamond 75 night level like SPG does giving extra benefits for the people that say a lot in their hotels.

I've had diamond status for several years through stays/nights/spend and will rely on the credit card spend to keep my status in the foreseeable future and I have no issues at all with Hilton giving out upgrades to diamonds that spend a lot more nights in their property than someone that gets it through credit card spend, it's only right.
