I'm looking at LIS-LHR next month returning from a rugby tour. I'm not a usual Star Alliance flyer, though I'm in the LH program. But milage is secondary to me, and I'll have handbaggage only.

However, since it's nearly three hours flying time, leg room is important to me so I want to be able to pay extra for the emergency row. Does anyone know at which price point - Discount, Basic, Classic, etc. I need to be able to book to do that.

I'm asasuming Discount is random assignment, and you can't choose even if you pay, but I'm uncertain about the others. Unfortunately their site seems to require payment before moving on to seat selection.

Any ideas? Thanks very much.
