^^ - I know asking is somewhat stupid. I've done the international to domestic connection multiple times on both *A and OW connections so I don't know why I ask, I know the variables and know the logistics.
Anyway - I appreciate the reassurance and was able to get UA to tack on the ORD - RDU leg at no additional mileage cost so now we are protected if the connection goes sideways for some reason
