I was dreading sitting in the T3 boarding area when I flew out of YYZ this past weekend, since it is under renovation. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Plaza Premium Lounge sign after I passed through USA preclearance and duty free.
It is up one level on the elevator and directly adjacent to the AAdmirals lounge. When I entered, I asked if the lounge was new and whether they accepted Priority Pass. The lounge attendant said the lounge opened a week or two ago and they had just received their Priority Pass machine. He started to talk about credit cards, but I wasn't paying close attention as my Priority Pass app started giving me problems. However, he let me in with my AmEx Platinum card, as I guess they are a partner too.
I estimated that the lounge was a couple of thousand square feet with about 60 seats (i.e. snug) and their website confirms 2,000 sq ft and 56 seats. The seating is half soft furniture (individual soft chairs) and half cafe furniture. There were two tv's mounted on the wall above the soft furniture. Two individual male/female bathrooms (only sink and toilet, no showers).
Beverages included a Pepsi self-serve machine with 6 choices, a juice self-serve machine with 4 choices, a Nescafe coffee machine, a small selection of self-serve liquor, and a refrigerator with canned beers, club soda, and small desserts. A buffet open to the kitchen offered a few cold items (cheese, salad, dessert), a few hot items (a chicken dish and a few sides), and then made to order pasta (one choice), hamburgers, and grilled cheese. I wasn't hungry, so I didn't eat anything, but the food looked fine. (I remember the food looking more appetizing in T1 transborder, but I haven't been in that lounge in awhile.)
While it is snug, if you have access, it is definitely better than the boarding areas.
