I have some upcoming travel which is booked and prepaid. (A total of 12 nights).

I may need to be elsewhere on two of the nights during my trip.

I don't want to check out of the hotel I have booked, as I will be there for both the first and last nights of my stay, and it is all paid for. I'm obviously OK with losing the money paid for those nights.

What I do not want to happen, however, is for my two one-night stays to be credited and for me to lose the 12 nights' worth of points. Given that my shorter stays, if I go ahead with them, would credit before I have completed my longer stay, what logic does Hilton use to deterine whcih of the stays credits?
