So... Tempted by the £80 return fare to MAD, I have been looking at booking a weekend in March. Any excuse to practice my Spanish!

While I was checking flight options, I could not but notice that the IB flight on the A340 departs in the evening on Fridays. So I started looking at the cost of doing the outbound in J with IB. After all, it'd be nice to start the weekend in a nice cabin and on a nice seat. But it would push the price of the ticket to £209.

Needless to say, both the IB A340 and BA B777 services operate on Sunday afternoons, so now I'm partly tempted to do the inbound also in J. But that would push the price of the ticket to over £300.

I don't need the TPs and I will be Gold again by then. Mr ringingup may benefit from some TPs in case he decides to go for Silver.

What would you do?

P.S. I have flown both cabins and aircraft on long haul before.
