Can you use a BXP1 to upgrade an economy award? Since those are either T (milesAAver) or Y (AAnytime) fare tickets, they don't fall under the fare exclusions.

I have a few certs I need to use before the end of the year and am trying to find a use for them on my remaining AA booking before giving them to friends/family.
