That is normal.
Most of the time the gate agents will collect your particulars during check-in. Make sure the name and birthday are correct and you are ready to go.

By "ticket validation websites" I suppose you mean TravelSky. It is, as far as I can tell, experiencing technical problems. Just try refreshing again and again. If you are still concerned, you can use Air China's own website, or find related service in the app Umetrip, also provided by the TravelSky. The app is generally more reliable.
