Note that the lax-pvg-lax legs are booked as roundtrip through Delta. I have a separate booking through Cathay Pacific for SHA-HKG-PVG.
It's fine for the TWOV rules, assuming that your passport qualifies. However, you could have difficulties with DL employees not wanting to allow you to board.
