No lounge access is common on leisure routes and, being based at a leisure destination, is one of my pet gripes.

The inability to print a boarding pass for the 2nd leg would not have prevented your bags being checked through.

It is quite possible the pmo agent could not do you boarding pass. I have had it happen in jnb but got my bags checked through.
