Sorry - Uber drivers are professionals that drive based on rules and guidelines established by a large corporation. Riders are customers. Saying that both groups are simply “the public” is just a scheme for Uber to avoid regulation, offer poor customer service, treat their employees (drivers) unfairly, etc.
