I bought a 17" HP zd7000. With a 3.4GHz P4 and 1GB of RAM, she eats her batteries in about 90 minutes (so I need three to hope to cross the country) and weighs about 15 pounds with her batteries and AC power.

At 17" wide, she's fine in First/Business Class and takes up the whole tray in Economy. But darn don't DVDs look gorgeous on her.

She's a desktop replacement laptop and she did replace my desktop. I travel about a dozen times a year, so she only accompanies me on about 30 flights a year.

If I planned to travel more then that, I would have bought a 15.4" Centrino system and a seperate new desktop cause she is not designed for regular travel.
