I finally gave up on #1 Awards and just put it in Marriott since they give 500 points and with the double-bonus promo - 1000.

At 1 point per dollar spent, I generate like 500-1000 #1 points a year, tops (pure leisure until this year, when I am doing a lot of business rentals, but still). Just not worth the return. A free-rental day saves me, at most, $30 since my HLE runs that. Spending $500 to save $30?
