One thing that keeps me coming back to AA as an EXP is getting MCE at booking. Believe me, when I have a choice to fly DL, UA, AA, WN, when the prices are all within a ballpark of each other, AA usually wins the business because of the free MCE and all the other perks.

AA by virtue of offering me all these elite perks has pretty much convinced me to always fly with them rather than going price shopping. I wouldn’t discount this. Even if AA’s prices are $20-$30 higher, I’d still pick AA.
