I just finished a stay at the Marriott and really liked the location. Couple mins away from the museums and outer canals. Even walking to the Centraal Station area was only about 30 mins.

Rooms look like they've been recently renovated and there's an express bus from Schiphol that drops you off very near to the hotel.
