StR Singapore used to be quite nice, especially to Plats, before they did the lobby level renovations and changed the F&B offerings. I've had nice (suite) upgrades and in the beginning, the hotel did a nightly wine tasting for everyone, in their wine room, plus you could take the Plat appetizer and drink in the downstairs lobby bar rather than in the second floor poolside bar attached to the casual Italian bistro.
